Create KBE 9.X
KBE 9.0 – 9.1 – 9.2 (Oct 15, 2024)
Reference KB article 184391
Before creating a KBE, it is importantcrucial to prepare a Windows 10 or Windows 11 system and some drivers. (AnIt's recommended to use an isolated system is recommended for the creation of KBEs,system, as antivirus software can interfere with the KBE build process.)

Steps to Create a KBE:

Set
upUp a VM
Ensure that the VM canreachconnect to theKaceKACE System Deployment Appliancethat(SDA) and has the followingtools:-installed:- Windows 11 ADK
- - WinPE Addon (this
hasisrecentlynowchanged - sorequired, make surethatit’syouinstalled)
haveWinPE add on as well) - Windows 11 ADK

Backup and Update Drivers
a. Go to theKaceKACE SDA Samba Share Driver folder andbackupbacktheupfollowingthesefolders:directories:-\\KaceSDA\drivers\kbe_windows_x64
-\\KaceSDA\drivers\kbe_windows_x86
-Note:
InYousomemaycase,needyou might use thosethese drivers tore-createrecreate a KBE for previousversionversions of Windows.b. Delete all folders and files inside
thosethefoldersabove directories.
c. Download the latest KBE Driver Pack from DellWinPESupport.10 Driver pack, extractExtract the CAB file using 7-Zip or WinRARor(Windows'7-Zip,defaultthenextractor won't work). Then, copy the foldersinsideasfollow:

Use the Media Manager
Open
a.FromIn the SDA UI,gonavigate to“Library|→ Source Media|→ MediaManager”Manager, and download theKaceKACE SDA Media Manager tool.Openthe MediaManagerManager,ingo“to the GeneralSettings”Settingstabtab, andcompletefill out thefieldsfollowing:accordingly:- SDA

UnderIn“the CreateKBE”KBE tab,you willyou’ll findseveral other tabs containing a group ofdifferent settingsthatgroupsyouforcancustomizingusethetoKBEcreatecreation process. Typically, the default settings work for uploading the KBE. - SDA
